Continuum – A Sound Art Weekend
27/2 – 1/3 2015
Skånes Konstförening, Bragegatan 15, Malmö, Sweden
Stop, look and listen. An increased presence and attention to sound.
Deciding how to listen determines what to hear.
Continuum – A Sound Art Weekend is a three-day exhibition exploring sound in the visual and mental dimensions.
Nine artists from five countries challenge sound’s role among our sensory impressions through sculpture, performance,
recording and installation. The span ranges from an improvisational choir versus the inaudible infrasound of low frequencies,
noise of everyday life set against fragments of an inner cacophony.

The catalogue comes with a 12″ vinyl record, documenting the artist’s soundworks, as well as essays by sound artists Imri Sandström and Brandon Labelle.
